great location but room could use updates

The location suited our needs perfectly for attending an event. We appreciated the convenience of nearby dining options that enhanced our evening.

The room felt somewhat outdated and could benefit from a refresh.

Independence is a culinary goldmine, and I hit the jackpot with nearby Michael's Grille—grabbed the tastiest burger. Plus, my room was a Standard King Room with Sofa Bed—super comfy for a snuggle sesh! Can't forget the convenient location near solid eats.

Now, for the downers, for the price, seriously consider hitting up the Ramada. The breakfast was a letdown—$10 for a buffet that should've been free. And highway noise? Definitely not the vibe I was looking for.

The pool area was a delightful escape, bright and inviting, making my swim feel like a winter wonderland, with snow gently falling outside. The accessible features throughout the hotel are very thoughtful and accommodating for seniors.

More seating in the dining area needed.

Nice room with comfy bed and full-size toiletries. Parking was bad. lots were crowded.

i really enjoyed my stay at the holiday inn this summer! having stayed in independence before, the renovations definitely exceeded my expectations and made the space feel more welcoming. the bed was incredibly comfortable with plush pillows, and the pool area was a fun escape, especially with the snow outside.

check-in took longer than expected.

This hotel perfectly suits my needs with free wi-fi, a fantastic fitness center, and 24-hour reception. I fondly remember how the staff assisted me with a phone charger during my first stay. Highly recommend for your next city break!

The rooms were comfy, and we loved visiting PlayhouseSquare for an amazing show. The fitness center was a great bonus with all the workout options. Just a heads up, the restaurant service could use improvement. But overall, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend it for a fun group trip.

The diner experience was a bit disappointing. There was only one breakfast voucher for two people and the food wasn't great, just lukewarm and dry.

The Holiday Inn offered a comfortable stay with clean rooms and a welcoming atmosphere. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful, facilitating a smooth check-in process. I appreciated the numerous outlets and USB charging stations available in the Standard King Room, which made it easy to keep my devices powered throughout my business trip. The large parking lot was also a great convenience.

The furniture could use an upgrade.

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel while visiting Cleveland! The fitness center was well-equipped, and I loved working out there. Also, the location was perfect for our family outings, with easy access to downtown and attractions. Plus, the staff was friendly, which made our visit even better.

My kids wished for a more varied breakfast option. It would be great to see a more family-friendly menu available for early risers.

Indoor swimming pool, unique event space, responsive maintenance

A $150 refundable deposit is overkill!!! The lack of clean linens for the pull-out couch is frustrating. The satellite TV loses signal randomly, and outdated furniture is not what I expect for my money!!!

i really enjoyed my stay at holiday inn. the pool was fantastic for a winter swim, with snow falling outside. our king room was super comfy, with lots of pillows and linens. plus, it felt safe and welcoming. the location is perfect, just 15 minutes from downtown!

The walls are paper thin, allowing for loud noise from neighboring rooms to intrude, which can really disrupt your sleep, especially if you like things quiet. Finding outdated furniture in the room, such as the thin and stained sofa bed mattress, left something to be desired in regards to modern comfort. The bathroom, while small and adequate, had persistent issues with cleanliness, as I noted signs of neglect that might slip past the casual eye.
